Top 3 EDC Belts for 2025 — Nexbelt vs Kore vs Klik Belts

Today we're talking EDC belts, and I'm only showing you stuff I personally wear. There's no product on this table that isn't in my actual rotation — ask my co-workers, they see me in these damn things all the time. I've tried pretty much every EDC belt on the market; these are the three styles that stuck.

The one I wear the most is the Nexbelt, because of its versatility. It's a ratcheting belt with a very small buckle, and that small buckle is the whole trick: if you run a two-clip holster and like riding close to 12 o'clock for appendix carry, the clips spread on either side of it. Bigger buckles force you out toward 1 o'clock. It's stiff — probably the second stiffest here — and you cut it to your own size, with marks from 25 to 50 on the back, so sizing is a non-issue. Mine got frayed because I wear it so damn much; I hit up their normal customer service on a belt I'd bought myself and they sent a replacement. Fair warning: ratcheting into place in a public bathroom sounds weird. It just does.

Next is the Kore belt — technically mine came through Tier One Concealed with their logo on it, but Kore makes it. Same ratcheting idea with a little release latch on the bottom edge, and it's stiff, just a hair behind the Nexbelt. The edge has a coating on it, so unlike my Nexbelt it hasn't frayed at all. The downside is the buckle: it's a honker. The first dual-clip holster I tried to stretch over it — an Incog X from Safariland and Haley Strategic — flat wouldn't fit, so I couldn't wear this belt with that holster. That's really the only knock on it. Mine's multicam, which apparently is my style most days anyway, but it's not the one I wear to work.

Then there are the three from Klik Belts, which have genuinely earned a spot in the rotation. These are cobra-buckle belts, and the buckles are very, very well made — they even put my logo on the back, which was a classy touch. The clever part is the construction: the main run is double-ply and seriously stiff, while the tail that wraps back through is single-ply. You get a firm attachment point on your strong side for a clip like my Alpha Omega mono block, but less of a pressure point on the front of your hip. It surprised me how comfortable that is. The third Klik belt adds a hook-and-loop section so the tail straps back onto itself — no floppy excess, no keeper needed. One reality of cobra buckles: they don't fit through normal belt loops, so you're taking the buckle end off to thread it unless you're in operator pants.

For sizing reference, I wear a 34 jean and I'm a medium in Klik's sizing — if you're 32 to 34, medium works. The Nexbelt and Kore cut down to size, so you don't have to think about it at all.

What about everything else? I'm a huge fan of Groove Life belts — the magnetic buckle tech is fantastic — but your gun's going to sag out and your pants are going to sag down. If I'm not wearing a gun, which is hardly ever, I'd grab one happily. And I have not yet found a leather belt stiff enough for real EDC.
