MedicBox Pro Review & Unboxing — Is This Med Kit Subscription Worth It?
The Verdict
Damn near $300 of real medical gear in a $99.99 box — MedicBox knocked it out of the park.
This might be the highest value-to-cost subscription box we've ever opened on the channel. Between the SOG ParaShears, a real CAT tourniquet, HyFin chest seals, and a Guardian Angel light that retails at $115 by itself, my rough math put the Pro box at close to $300 in gear for $99.99. Usually I pitch these boxes as a fun monthly present for tactical nerds — with this one, if you're a prepper, EMT, medic, or just building out your kits, I honestly can't see a reason not to do it.

MedicBox is a monthly subscription box service, and you'll never guess what's inside — medical supplies. We opened the Pro version, which runs $99.99 a month and ships as two boxes; there's also a standard version with fewer items at $55. I'll say it up front like I always do: I'm not the medical expert, as plenty of you have reminded me in the comments. But I love bringing this stuff to you because medical gear belongs in your daily life — your go bags, your get-home-alive bags, your vehicles, all of it.
Each box comes with a what's-inside card that walks you through every item, which is genuinely helpful for medic dummies like me. First out was a small IFAK pouch with MOLLE straps on the back and loop on the front — basic, but a nice way to carry supplies on your kit or in your vehicle. Then two HyFin vent chest seals, which are like the best ones you can get; I keep these in almost every medical kit I own. And then the SOG ParaShears — trauma shears that are also a multi-tool with a glass breaker, line cutter, tweezers, screwdrivers, an oxygen wrench, and ruler markings on the edge. A very, very nice pair of shears and I'm excited to add them to the collection.
The first box also had an emergency bandage from Rampart Systems — very similar to an Israeli bandage, and Rampart is a really good company to buy medical gear from — plus hemostatic dressing for controlling bleeding on minor cuts, lacerations, and punctures. Box two brought Z-folded compressed gauze from Rescue Essentials for wound packing, a pair of Rothco EMS shears for your bigger emergency-style kits, a baby roll of duct tape (I keep one in every single kit), and a genuine CAT tourniquet, which alone goes for somewhere around $40 to $50 right now.
The wildcard was the Guardian Angel safety light — a wearable light with four brightness settings, flashing emergency patterns, and three-plus mile visibility. I'll be honest with you: it's got a bunch of buttons and it was more than I could handle on camera. I'm going to have to read the instructions on how the darn thing works. But when I looked up the price, it's $115 by itself — I knew it was going to be expensive the second I picked it up. There was also a glove pouch with a split front pocket to keep your trauma gloves clean, a pupil gauge flashlight, a MedicBox patch for the wall, and a sticker for the tool cart.
Add it all up — call it $40 for the ParaShears, $40 for the CAT, $115 for the Guardian Angel, the seals, the dressings, the pouches — and you're looking at close to damn near $300 in value in a $99 box. That's a 3x return on one monthly box. Usually with these subscription services I say, hey, if you like getting presents every month, it's a cool way to do it. With this one? If you need medical gear at all — EMT, doctor, combat medic, or just a prepper — this is some supreme value. Shout out to freaking MedicBox.
