Live The Creed Get Home Alive Kit Review — If You Only Buy One Med Pack, Buy This One

Today we're going a little bigger with a company we've featured before: the Live The Creed Get Home Alive medical pouch. In full transparency, Live The Creed sent this one out to me, and the product is currently undergoing some changes to make it even better — the updated version is due by the end of October, and the link below goes to that.

Outside: mine's in multicam, because y'all know I love multicam, with a first-aid symbol on the side. Two MOLLE straps let you strap it to gear — a back-seat vehicle kit, or even the back of your plate carrier — and there are velcro loops on the exterior. Riding on the outside is a CAT tourniquet, a really high-quality one I haven't even unwrapped yet because I usually keep my other, already-opened CAT in there, plus a pair of trauma shears.

Open it up and it's got all kinds of goodies: a SWAT-T tourniquet, vacuum-sealed Z-fold gauze, NAR compressed gauze, Israeli bandages, and two sets of gloves. On the other side there's a survival rescue blanket, medical tape, triangular bandages, wrapped gauze, square gauze pads, and alcohol pads. Everything you need in one place. It's super all-encompassing without pretending to be a full medical bag.

Where does it live? This is the kit that stays in my vehicle all the time — you saw a smaller first aid kit in my truck loadout video, but this is the comprehensive one for the injuries I could realistically sustain out here. You could also run it on a plate carrier; it's obviously heavier than the small IFAK on my duty belt or the EDC pouch, but it won't weigh you down on the back of a carrier. With a really good belt like my HRT ARC belt you could even wear it on your back, though it's a little heavier than I'd want on a standard belt kit. For home, vehicle, or plate carrier, it's a phenomenal choice.

Price: it comes in right around $230, and they had it on sale closer to $200 while the changes were being made. That's the higher end for a kit like this, but you make it up in quality — 500D nylon, elastic inner organization that holds everything tight, and I think nearly everything inside is North American Rescue.
