The NFA Registry Died, and the DOJ Did Nothing

At midnight Central, the seven-day stay on Judge Hendrix's ruling expired. The DOJ never filed. And the first lawful suppressor transfer with no Form 4, no tax stamp, and no registry entry since June 26, 1934 went down in Texas.

Silencer Shop transferred suppressors to Brandon Herrera and Wes Virdell under the permanent injunction in Silencer Shop Foundation v. ATF (consolidated with Jensen v. ATF, N.D. Tex., Judge James Wesley Hendrix, Aug 5, 2026), the ruling that held the NFA's registration requirements for suppressors, SBRs, SBSs, and AOWs exceed Congress's enumerated powers now that the tax is $0. GOA gave the Attorney General written notice and a 5 PM deadline. It passed in silence.
